Held between 18 and 19 June 2011 in Singapore, the Global Enterprise Challenge saw youths from 15 countries competing to produce a commercially viable prototype and marketing plan within 24 hours. This year’s theme had participants creating an interactive exhibit commemorating the advancement of human spaceflight.

Hong Wei Ting, a third year Business Studies student, shares what she learnt during the competition, “It was awkward at first because none of us knew each other well at the beginning… With an open mind, all of us adapted well and eventually became great friends with each other! Perhaps it is because most of us are from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and our goal was to do our best and enjoy the challenge!”

The team came in first at the Asian Science Enterprise Challenge and went on to represent Singapore at the Global Enterprise Challenge. Third year Business Studies student, Karan Tilani, also won the award for Best Speaker.
