19 June 2010 marked an eventful day for Diploma in Accountancy (ACC) students Michael Tan and Latha Nadarajan and Diploma in Business Studies (BS) student John Tay.
Michael, Latha and John, together with their FMS, HMS and MDE teammates from the Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) Student Entrepreneurship Club (SEC), beat teams from NUS, NTU, SMU and RP to win the prestigious Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) National Competition.
Michael, Latha and John are an integral part of the SIFE-NP Team, having worked for months on projects such as Soule Shoes and trips to an orphanage in Johor. Their enthusiastic presentation and confident handling of questions impressed the panel of 30 judges made up of business leaders.
The SIFE-NP Team will next represent Singapore at the SIFE World Cup in Los Angeles from 10-12 October 2010, where they will be competing against 39 international teams. We wish them every success!
