Alpha Centre is a technology development centre in the School of Engineering, Electronic and Computer Engineering Division focusing on Intelligent Robotics. The mission of Alpha Centre is to provide resources, opportunities, programmes and activties to students from the School of Engineering to :-

- unlock students’ talents and maximize their potential through challenging final-year projects

- foster the development of independent thinking, creativity and problem solving skills through problem-based learning

- develop a spirit of innovation, risk taking and enterprise in the students.

In addition, the Centre aims to :-

- cultivate technology development in the fields of the embedded systems, artificial intelligence, sensor fusion, machine vision and other relevant disciplines

- collaborate with other technology centres in Ngee Ann Polytechnic and industry partners on robotics and automation technology development

- create an awareness of and promote engineering and robotics to secondary school students and the
public through competitions and school outreach activities.
