RoboCup Junior
The World RoboCup
Junior is an international robotics competition. It is a project-based
educational initiative that hosts robotic events for the students from
primary and secondary schools. Through the events such as 2 x 2 soccer
robot league championship, the students are provided an exciting introduction
to the discipline of robotics, hardware and software, and a highly motivating
opportunity to learn about teamwork while sharing technology knowledge
with their teammates.
The World RoboCup
Junior provides a unique opportunity for the school students with a variety
of interests and strengths to work together as a team to achieve a common
goal.
Through the
competition, the participants will be provided with a local training platform
for them to examine their robots performance.
The winning school earns the exclusive
right to represent Singapore to participate in World RoboCup 2006 Junior
2 x 2 League Championship.
