 Posting results

1. What must I do after receiving my posting results?

If you have been posted to a course in a polytechnic, an enrolment package will be mailed to you by the polytechnic, usually by mid/end March. You will need to follow the instructions given in the package to report or enrol in the polytechnic. If you fail to report to Ngee Ann Polytechnic on the designated date, your place will be given up.

2. When will I know the outcome of my application / When will the posting results be announced?

For JAE Applicants:

The results of your application will be released about 3 weeks after the JAE registration period through the following modes:
- JAE IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System): at 6691-2131
- JAE-IS at www.moe.gov.sg/esp/schadm/jae
- SMS via applicants' mobile number (if available)
- Form D will also be sent to all applicants via postal service

For JPAE Applicants :
For ITE applicants by the JPAE Committee (Tentatively March)
For SPM and STPM by the JPAE Committee (Tentatively April)

For FSV and MCM Applicants :
Applicants will be notified via the Voice Response System (VRS) on the dates of the assessment rounds. The VRS hotline number & period for applicants to dial up will be published in the application ads (to be placed on the day before Open House / JAE), FSV / MCM websites.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview scheduled in February / March, subject to confirmation via the VRS.

All Other Applicants :
Shortlisted international students may be invited to take a written test and an interview tentatively in March. The selection outcome will be known in early April.

3. What happens if I am not posted to a course within my 12 choices under JAE?

If you wish to appeal for a polytechnic or ITE course, you may submit an appeal during the JAE Appeals Exercise. Appeals are accepted only if you meet the cut-off point of the course you are appealing for.

During JAE, you should specify at least a few schools or courses for which you are sure you will be admitted, based on your results. This would prevent unpleasant surprises when the posting results are released. You should also make full use of your 12 options by completing all of them in case some institutions or courses are unusually popular for a particular year.
