 Module Exemption / Advanced Standing 

1. How do I apply for admission to the 2-year diploma courses?

Applicants using Singapore GCE 'A' Level qualifications should apply through the Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE) scheduled to be held in February at the same time as the JAE for 'O' level holders. DAE applicants may apply via the Web DAE.

2. Are students given exemptions for their studies in Ngee Ann Polytechnic?

Requests for exemptions are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. In general, full-time students who are admitted to a 3-year course are expected to complete the course without exemptions.

3. Are students with GCE 'A' Level / STPM / UEC qualifications exempted from the first year of the 3-year diploma course?

Students with GCE 'A' Level / STPM / UEC qualifications are eligible to apply for direct entry into the 2nd year of certain full-time diploma courses, provided they meet the entry requirements.

The 2-year courses offered are the Diplomas in Biomedical Science * (non-medical laboratory technology), Business Studies, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Marine & Offshore Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Molecular Biotechnology and Product Design & Innovation.
