Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) allows students who have strong aptitude and interest in a field related to the diploma course they are applying for
before they sit for their GCE ‘O’ Level examinations. Students with outstanding achievements in sports, arts, leadership, entrepreneurship and community service can also be considered.
You are eligible under
EAE 2017 if you are one of the following :
• Singaporeans or Permanent Residents (PR) who have registered to sit for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' level examinations in 2017
• Non-Singaporeans or Non-PRs from a government, government-aided and independent school (excluding private schools) who have registered to sit for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' level examinations in 2017

To participate in the EAE, you are required to sign up for a EAE account with a valid email account and password.
You can apply for a maximum of 3 courses within a single polytechnic or a single course at 3 different polytechnics or any other combination. You must apply for at least 1 course and no duplicate courses are allowed across your choices.In addition, you are to submit a brief write-up detailing your interest, aptitude and talents in the areas related to the course(s) that you wish to be considered. Do elaborate further on your other achievements, CCA activities and leadership qualities.
Students applying under EAE will be short-listed and invited to participate in an interview as part of the admission process.
The interview is designed to assess your aptitude for polytechnic education and the course through your write-up indicated in your application. It provides the interviewers with a valuable opportunity to know you better beyond your application. The interview allows them to evaluate your understanding of, and aptitude for your course that you have applied for, and to give you the opportunity to explain why you are committed to studying it. Participation in relevant CCAs, Advanced Elective Modules (AEMs) and Applied Subjects (AS) as well as participation in activities such as work attachments and sustained involvement in projects that are related to the course will be considered.
Selection is based on your interview performance and demonstration of your talent and passion for the course.

EAE selection stage.
2) What do I need to bring for the interview?

If you are successful in your application, you will be granted a conditional posting. The condition is that you are required to sit for the ‘O’ Level examinations and obtain the following :
• Achieve a net ELR2B2 aggregate score of no more than 26 points, and
• Meet the Minimum Entry Requirements for the chosen course.
The outcome of your application will be released online through the
EAE portal on
28 Aug 2017 (2pm). Login using your NRIC and password via the
EAE portal to check the posting results.
