The Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE) is administered by Ngee Ann Polytechnic to allow applicants whose qualification type are ineligible under JAE and JPAE to apply for admission to our full-time diploma courses.
In general, you are eligible under DAE 2018 if you are one of the following AND have met the additional requirements listed
Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level holder •
Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level holder•
Integrated Programme (IP) Year 4 student•
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma holder•
International Qualifications holder•

Apply online through the DAE Portal during the application period.
i) Submission of Application
Submit your application online through the
DAE Portal, using your NRIC or Passport and Date of Birth. You can include up to 3 choices for which you are eligible, but you will only receive one offer (for your highest eligible preference) if your application is successful. Please note that there is no DAE application fee.
During your online application, you must upload the PDF copies of your NRIC or Passport (used in your application) and results. Supporting documents submitted by hand or post will not be considered.
After submission of the application, you should receive an email acknowledging the receipt of your application.After you submit your application, you can change your choices and your particulars as many times as you like by
re-submitting a fresh application until the DAE application closes.
An application is not considered complete until the necessary supporting documents (ie: copies of results, NRIC, etc) have been uploaded online successfully.
ii) Checking on the receipt of supporting documents
It is your responsibility to check if the Polytechnic has received your documents. To check on the receipt of your supporting documents, please click "Application Status Check". Phone enquiries will not be entertained.
Entry into our courses is based on academic merit.
The outcome of your application will be released online through the DAE Portal on different dates for different qualifications.
